Christmas Play: Robin Hood

Hi guys,

The play we are doing this year is Robin Hood. Please find below the roles and costumes that they could potentially wear. If you have something better at home that is perfectly fine:

Beggars: Normal clothes (Ragged clothes if you wish) with blankets/ towels to throw over their shoulders.

Narrators: Black clothes.

Soldiers: Camouflage costumes or soldier costumes.

Robin Hood and Merry men: Green and brown clothes/ costume.

Mother/ Son: Normal clothes.

English Reading: Ch. 5 Under The Hawthorn Tree.

English Writing: Dictionary work: Children to find 4 difficult words in Ch. 5. Define them in their own words and then straight after use this word in a sentence.
Eg. Affection: showing fondness for someone.
      She showed affection towards her sister when she fell in the muck.

English Grammar: Sheet on prepositions.

Important Information: Trip Monday 27th

Just to let you know that on Monday 27th November we will be doing our field trip 
(part of SESE / Geography) to the North Bull Island to learn about the Brent Geese. While we are there, we will :

 -  go to the interpretative center for a talk/AV with Niamh from Brent Geese project

- going out to look for the Geese with Ricky from Bird Watch Ireland

- be looking at some of the other inhabitants of the Island with Paul From Bull Island Centre.


Can you ensure that children are wearing suitable clothing for this trip.  It could be cold so please wrap up warm. I would advise to wear wellies and waterproofs if possible. Layer up! Wear warm clothes, hats, gloves, and waterproofs / Rain coat.
